 Q & A with the ASA

ASA: Can you tell us about your influences?

Greg: My influences are widespread. I am most interested in how artists express the spiritual realm in their art. Therefore my influences include west coast First Nations carvers (Joe Wilson), Malevich, Kandinsky, Rothko and the Transcendentalists. I am intensely interested in the paintings of the Automatistes because of their unique personal explorations.

ASA: What would you consider to be your most successful body of work to date?

Greg: No body of work has been most successful because each work is unique for the artist’s time and experience. It very hard to tell if one body of work is more successful than another.
