Biography

Tatianna O’Donnell was born in Montreal where she began her art education with art  classes at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. Arthur Lismer, a member of the Group of Seven, was director of the school at the time and made quite an impression on her. Her art education continued with formal and informal art courses in art history, art education and painting in various medium. In later life she had the opportunity to spend six months
in Paris studying art. She taught elementary school for over 25 years in Calgary, where she raised her family and continued pursuing her passion, painting, and started teaching art workshops.
After retiring to the North Okanagan, Tatianna became involved in the local art community and is one of the founding members and Vice-President of the Enderby Artists’ Initiative, which runs Courtyard Gallery, an art collective in Enderby, B.C.  Her workshops are well attended and she continues to paint full-time in her studio where she explores new ideas and subjects in her work. She is represented by galleries in both Montreal and Vancouver and her work is collected internationally by private and public collectors.
