Enriching the Arts

Deborah Catton, ASA has an upcoming exhibit entitled Mysterious works on paper (Obras misteriosas en papel) from November 19th to 21st, 2016 at the Espacio Cultural Abierto in Madrid, Spain

Notes from the artist:

“This body of work is comprised of a series of abstract acrylic paintings on water colour paper that explores the concept of mystery. For me, mystery is the essence to understanding life. Mystery creates wonder and wonder is the basis of man’s desire to understand. There are things we can understand with our mind and there are things we cannot… Mystery carries a magical quality that allows us to know something is true or right without being able to understand it. I agree with Albert Einstein who said that the most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious.  Trust the mystery unfolding. It’s our beautiful companion. The paintings in this series are my interpretation of experiencing mystery in a particular moment in time.”
